Kathleen Steil is currently serving as a Chapter 7 Trustee in the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division and is a partner with the law firm of Ogier, Rothschild & Rosenfeld, P.C. in Decatur, Georgia. Kathleen was appointed to the panel by United States Trustee (Region 21) Daniel M. McDermott in March 2018.

Prior to her appointment, Kathleen served as the staff attorney for Chapter 7 Trustee Kyle A. Cooper and General Counsel for the multi-state law firm of Greene & Cooper, LLP. She has extensive background in creditors' rights litigation and commercial collection. She was introduced to the field of Bankruptcy during her externship with the Honorable W. Homer Drake, Jr. of the United States Bankruptcy Court, for the Northern District of Georgia and was mentored by seasoned attorney John C. Pennington.

Kathleen earned her bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in 2004 and obtained her juris doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009. She remains a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
